The William W. Winpisinger Center Education and Technology Center is accepting enrollments for all eight of its 2016 Spanish programs. Districts and Locals are encouraged to reach out to their Spanish speaking members, who may be unaware of the variety of programs offered in Spanish. Members who would benefit from attending Leadership programs in their native language have the potential to become more effective workplace leaders.
Spanish Leadership programs build a solid understanding of trade unionism and provide participants with the skills and tools they need to effectively represent and grow the membership. They are designed for IAM officers, activists and members who speak Spanish as their primary language. While all classroom instruction, books and materials are in Spanish, the content is identical to the material used in the English leadership programs.
Members interested in attending the Spanish Collective Bargaining pilot program should contact their Local Lodge President, Business Representative or General Chair immediately, as the deadline is February 5. Openings remain for all of the Leadership programs, as well as for the two Staff programs, but don’t miss the first enrollment deadline! Please note final assignments for all Staff programs will be made by each General Vice President.
