Greg was initiated into IAM Local Lodge #660, East Alton, IL in May of 1976 after hiring in at Olin Corporation, East Alton, Illinois; home of Olin Brass, Inc, and Winchester Ammunition.  Greg worked in the Metallurgical Laboratory of the Brass Mill.

While in the shop, Greg held various positions within the Machinists Union including being elected to: Shop Steward in 1985, Bargaining Unit Committeeman in 1991, and Bargaining Unit Committee Chairperson in 1993. Greg served as District #9 Board Delegate, Grand Lodge Alternate Delegate, as well as volunteering much of his time to organizing, political action, and assisting the membership. 

In March of 1997 Greg accepted the position of Organizer on the Unification Organizing Committee; a joint organizing program that included the IAM, United Steelworkers, and United Auto Workers.  In October of 1998 Greg was appointed as Organizer Apprentice in the Grand Lodge Organizing Department.

In April of 2000, after successfully completing the Organizer Apprenticeship Program Greg was appointed as Grand Lodge Special Representative working in the Grand Lodge Organizing Department. In April of 2002 Greg became a Grand Lodge Representative working throughout the country.

Greg and his wife Donna reside in Wood River, Illinois.
