On Sunday South Carolina state representative David Mack, a democrat from North Charleston, publically supported the IAM’s organizing bid to represent workers at a local Boeing 787 production plant. Mack, a politician who’s been in office for two decades, says a Machinists Union contract would boost the Charleston area economy by increasing pay and benefits for local Boeing workers.
