Members of Houston Texas local lodge 811 Human rights committee along with coworkers, family and friends volunteered at Grace’s Nursing Home.
The group played BINGO, served snacks and distributed gift bags to the elderly. Gift bags included lotions, slippers, reading material and stuff animals.
The staff of the facility stated the residents spirits were truly lifted and residents are excited and looking forward to having the committee come back.
The committee will be volunteering every 4th Saturday of each month with residents at Grace Nursing Home.
A few members who attended are: Marcus Shelton, Sarah Monderoy, Angela Jones, Jacqueline Golphin, Victor Hernandez, and sister local 2198 Maria Caban.
