Workers at the Bradken foundry in Chehalis, WA have won their first union contract. They are now the newest members of IAM Woodworkers District W24 and Local W130.
There are 96 men and women in the Bradken bargaining unit who make a wide assortment of castings for construction equipment and oil rigs.
After nearly two years, Bradken employees now have a clear wage scale, seniority rights and a grievance process.
“Congratulations to the workers at the Bradken foundry,” said Western Territory General Vice President Gary Allen. “These Bradken workers took a great step forward. It’s going to be a better place to work than it was before. These workers have helped to establish a new benchmark for their community through higher wages and better treatment of Bradken employees.”
