Almost a year ago, President Biden signed into law The Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act, the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic-exposed veterans in more than 30 years.
The PACT Act has expanded and extended eligibility for permanent Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and benefits for millions of veterans who may have been exposed to burn pits and other toxins during military deployments.

The deadline to file a claim to receive PACT Act retroactive benefits or submit an intent to file is Wednesday, August 9, 2023. If you file your claim or submit an intent to file by this date, you may be eligible to receive benefits backdated to August 10, 2022.
