District 1 Raises $55K

District 1 raised more than $55,000 at their annual Stewards and Officers Appreciation dinner last week. The dinner has been held each year since 1992 to collect voluntary contributions to support the Machinists Non-Partisan Political League (MNPL). International President R. Thomas Buffenbarger, GST Warren L. Mart and GVP Richard Michalski joined Eastern Territory GVP Lynn D. Tucker, Jr. at the event in Scranton, PA.
“District 1 takes great pride in planning this event each year, and every year they top their efforts from the previous year,” said Eastern Territory GVP Lynn D. Tucker, Jr. “Congratulations to DBR Danny Chemelko and his staff.”
“Thanks go out to BR’s Bill Wheeler, Tony Armedio and Organizer Gary Anthony” said District 1 DBR Danny Chemelko. “Brothers Bill McIntosh, Frank Hevener, Brian Mulhern, Bob Thomas and Andy Powell also contributed a tremendous amount of work. Their combined efforts continue to make the dinner and our fund raising efforts successful.”
