District 751 Golf Tournament Raises $15K for Guide Dogs

Seattle IAM District 751’s annual Guide Dogs of America (GDA) Charity Golf Tournament raised $15,000 for the IAM charity.

The tournament’s organizing group presented GDA with a check for $15,000.66 for the charity in October. Nearly 200 golfers took part.

“We had a really good day and raised some money for a great cause,” said tournament Chairman Mark Clark. “Our thanks go to all the volunteers and of course, to our sponsors.”

The tournament was a fundraiser for Guide Dogs of America, the California-based charity founded by an IAM member that provides service dogs and training in their use free of charge to people who are blind or have impaired vision from across the U.S. and Canada. Over the past five years, District 751 has raised nearly $1.5 million, including a record $384,000 in 2013.
