Two communities on opposite ends of the country are each being devastated—one by flood and the other by wildfire—leaving behind a trail of devastation of a magnitude rarely seen.
What’s being called the worst natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy, the flood in Baton Rouge, LA has claimed at least 13 lives and damaged over 40,000 homes. NFFE-IAM, Transportation and Southern Territory members are among those affected.
Out West, the wildfire in San Bernardino County, CA has driven over 80,000 people from their homes. The fire is spreading at a furious pace and our union and their communities are being affected.
