The IAM will hold the 2016 Federal Employees Advanced Program at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD, July 17-22, 2016. The registration deadline for this class is May 9, 2016.
In order to attend this program you must have first completed the Basic Federal Program.
Helpful for stewards, officers and business representatives, the Advanced Program involves training in areas specific to the federal sector such as Unfair Labor Practices (ULP) and grievance handling, preparations for arbitration and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), collective bargaining including negotiability appeals, mediation and impasse procedures and a more in-depth look at the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA).
