Enrollment Deadline Nears for Federal Employee Basic Program


The IAM Federal Employees Basic Program will take place in February 2016 at the Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD.

The IAM is conducting the Federal Employees Basic Program February 7-12, 2016 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD. Applications should be returned by November 30, 2015.

The program will involve training in areas specific to the Federal Sector. Among the topics are collective bargaining, the Hatch Act, legislative action, prohibited personnel practices, unfair labor practices, grievance handling, arbitration and an overview of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA).

This program will be very helpful to stewards, officers and business representatives who service members in the Federal Sector.

Due to limited space for only 30 people, participants will be chosen based upon the date of their enrollment. To be considered for this class, applications should be returned no later than November 30, 2015. Only those who have not previously attended this program should apply for enrollment.
