IAM General Vice President Bob Martinez, left, swears in Randy Erwin as NFFE/IAM National Secretary-Treasurer.

The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE/IAM) National Executive Council has announced the appointment of Randy Erwin as NFFE/IAM’s new National Secretary-Treasurer.

“As Bill Fenaughty completes his last day as NFFE National Secretary-Treasurer, I would like to thank him for his many years of service and leadership to our union,” said NFFE/IAM National President Bill Dougan. “And I am very pleased that Randy Erwin will be succeeding Bill…His demonstrated technical knowledge of our financial systems is important, but equally important are the new ideas, creativity and enthusiasm he will bring to his new position.”

IAM General Vice President Bob Martinez swore Erwin in to his new position.

“Randy Erwin has done a great job for this union from the start,” said Martinez. “As Legislative Director for NFFE/IAM and as Executive Director, he has proven he has the talent and dedication for his new position.”

During his tenure with NFFE, Erwin has been a tireless advocate for federal workers on Capitol Hill and with the Administration. In addition to his responsibilities at NFFE and with NFFE Local 2, he serves on the executive board of Northern Virginia Area Labor Federation.

“I am truly honored and blessed to be asked to serve my union in this capacity,” said Erwin. “I appreciate all the support that those in the NFFE family have shown me. I cannot wait to get started doing all I can to fight for our members and grow this Union in this new role. I thank President Dougan for recommending me for the position, and thank the National Executive Council for accepting his recommendation.”
