Don’t forget to tune in this Sunday, January 17, at 9:30 a.m. to VERSUS Country network for the TV show Escape to the Wild featuring IAM Local 655 member Pat Stashek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Stashek won the trip of a lifetime to hunt caribou in northern Manitoba on the union-sponsored TV show after joining the Union Sportsman Alliance in 2008.
The IAM and other AFL-CIO unions are working to protect their members’ hunting, fishing and outdoor interests, as well as supporting the Union Sportsman Alliance. The affiliated show, Escape to the Wild features union members who win trips to world-class hunting and fishing destinations.
Stashek’s quest to find the caribou proved a challenge. But by the last day of the hunt Stashek got within 250-300 yards of a good size bull. You can find out which way the down-to-the-wire caribou hunt went by tuning in to VERSUS Country on Sunday, January 17, at 9:30 a.m. EST.
