Falconer Appointed Special Representative

IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger has appointed Canadian Education Representative Gord Falconer to the position of Special Representative.
Falconer has been the IAM’s Canadian Education Representative since 2002. While he will continue his duties concerning apprenticeship programs, job planning and skills training, his new responsibilities will include engaging the membership, staff, and district and local lodges to become more actively involved in the issues affecting Canadian working families.
“Brother Falconer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position,” said IAM Canadian GVP Dave Ritchie. “His strong background in the labor movement will help to continue the growth of our union and strengthen Canadian working families.”
