Fort Benning Tech Support Workers Vote IAM Yes


Instructors and technicians at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA have voted to become the newest members of IAM District 131.

Sixty-three employees of a Fort Benning service contractor, CSRA, have voted to join the IAM. The new members are highly skilled instructors and technicians who provide Bradley tank simulator training, range training, and technical support for armored and infantry troops at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA.

“District 131 is proud to represent such an important group,” said District 131 Directing Business Representative Billy Barnwell. “The jobs they do are invaluable, and we look forward to doing everything we can to ensure that they receive the wages, benefits and respect they deserve.”

“Congratulations to Brother Barnwell and District 131,” said Southern Territory General Vice President Mark Blondin. “District 131 keeps rolling on and adding new members and contracts. Great Job.”

District 131 represents a wide range of workers employed by service contractors to the federal government and in private industries throughout Georgia.
