FRA To Have New Administrator

1-6-05 – On Tuesday, Jan. 4, President Bush announced that he will designate Robert Jamison acting administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration. Mr. Jamison will succeed Betty Monro, who recently retired.

At the present time, Jamison is the deputy administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, which is also a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation. He was appointed to the FTA in May 2002.

Mr. Jamison was previously an officer for the American National Red Cross. He also worked for the United Parcel Service for 13 years.
