Ft. Stewart Members Ratify New Contract

Members of Local 2917 at Ft. Stewart, GA this week voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new three-year agreement with Lockheed Martin Readiness & Stability Operations. This 417-member unit voted 98 percent to accept the new agreement.

Highlights of the agreement include a three percent pay hike in each year of the contract, increases in the health and welfare benefit, increased shift differentials for second and third shifts and language changes that increased vacation carry over and permitted workers more flexible use of sick and personal leave.
The new contract also retains the IAM pension plan and calls for annual increases of $.85, $.90 and $.95.

“This negotiating committee worked tirelessly to represent their membership,” said Aerospace Coordinator Ray Moffatt. “The committee worked closely with District 112 Directing BR Steve Hernandez, Southern Territory GLRs Joe Greaser and Joey Slaton and Communications Representative Bob Wood. With continued assistance from all involved, these negotiations were highly successful for our members working under this collective bargaining agreement and set a high standard to be matched in other area contracts.”
