GDA Hosting Online Auction through June 6

The online portion of the Guide Dogs of America (GDA) Open House Silent Auction is now open. The auction will run to June 6, 2012, with the live event taking place on June 9, 2012.
“One of the main attractions of the GDA Open House has always been our exciting Silent Auction, where we offer over 200 bidding opportunities ranging from entertainment, travel, and sports packages to terrific merchandise for men, women, children and of course pets,” said GDA President Dale Hartford. “And, now we’ve added this online opportunity to get in on the bidding fun. By putting some of these items online for bidding, we’ve opened up our auction to our supporters from across the country.”
Items up for bid include a GDA jacket signed by the cast of The Mentalist, Dodger tickets on the 4th of July and the very special gift of sponsoring a newborn puppy.
“Give a little and get a lot in return,” said Hartford. “Whether you place one bid or bid on every item, your participation is an invaluable part of our fundraising efforts. Through your generosity, you help provide mobility and independence to visually impaired men and women from across the United States and Canada.”
GDA is an IAM charity that provides professionally-trained guide dogs to blind and visually-impaired individuals – free of charge.
