The IAM is joining the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to help collect donated food in more than 10,000 communities for the annual Letter Carrier Food Drive. The 22nd annual food drive is this Saturday, May 10.
Simply leave non-perishable food donations next to your mailbox on May 10 and your mail carrier will take care of the rest. Donations you make will stay in your community.
“With America still reeling from devastating unemployment, the 22nd annual food drive comes at a critical time,” said AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. “With the support of unions all across America, the NALC can set a record in collections, helping those who have lost their jobs and the millions more facing economic uncertainty.
