The initial meeting Sunday afternoon between the union and company, began with introductions by both parties. IAM Collective Bargaining Director Craig Norman made an opening statement for the IAM and Director of Manufacturing Randy Middleton for the IBEW. John Burke made and opening statement for GE Company. We then proceeded with your IAM Local Lodge Negotiation Committee Representatives and IBEW Representatives verbally presenting the company with statements, opinions and views expressed by the membership at your recent overwhelming rejection vote.
Your negotiating committee then presented proposals to the company covering HealthCare, General Wage Increases and COLA, Overtime, 401K, and Term of the Agreement. Currently the company is reviewing the union proposals and we await their responses.
