IAM, Horizon Air Reach First Agreement

The IAM announced stock and stores employees at Horizon Air reached a first tentative contract with the carrier.

The three-year accord is the first agreement for IAM-represented stock and stores workers at the airline after a successful organizing campaign last year.

“I’d like to thank membership for their support during this first negotiation, and the negotiating committee for a job well done,” said IAM District 142 President Tom Higginbotham. “This tentative agreement directly addresses the concerns of the stock and stores workers at Horizon and is a progressive first contract.” ?

The proposed deal provides wage improvements, job security provisions, no part-time employment, a grievance procedure, guaranteed work rules and a signing bonus.

The negotiating committee unanimously recommends ratification of the tentative agreement. IAM District 142 is currently arranging informational meetings and a ratification schedule.
