IAM members recently gathered with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) ahead of coordinated bargaining of the master contract with Schneider Electric later this summer.
Over 1,000 IAM, IBEW, and IBT union members work for Schneider at five locations across North America. The negotiating committee members, representing all three unions, met last week in Chicago to develop their bargaining strategy and plan for the upcoming negotiations.
“This negotiation prep was an important step in ensuring that our members’ voices are heard at the bargaining table,” said IAM Collective Bargaining Director Craig Norman. “We are committed to securing a fair and equitable contract that reflects the hard work and dedication of our members and the other unions.”
Details regarding specific negotiation points or a timeline for talks have yet to be released.
