IAM Midwest Territory Shows Working People Presence at President Biden’s Economic Address

President Biden recently delivered a speech on the economy in Chicago. The speech was attended by a group of IAM members from the Chicagoland area, who were personally invited to hear the president’s message. The message was centered on the vital role of working people and his vision for the economy.

The IAM, which recently endorsed President Biden through a membership vote, has been a vocal advocate of President Biden’s economic agenda. IAM members who attended the speech were hopeful about what the president had to say about their jobs and the economy’s future.

“We’re glad that the president is focused on creating union jobs and growing the economy,” said Sam Cicinelli, Special Assistant to IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Steve Galloway. “We need more good-paying jobs in the manufacturing sector, especially in the Midwest Territory. We are glad that the most pro-Union president this country has ever had is committed to making that happen. It was an honor to represent our great union at this event.”

In his speech, President Biden outlined his plan to continue to create jobs, grow the economy, and make it fairer for working families. He discussed eliminating corporate tax cuts and investing in infrastructure, manufacturing and clean energy. He also spoke about bringing high-speed internet to rural America and expanding access to affordable healthcare.
