IAM Photo Contest Open to TCU Members

IAM Photo Contest Open to TCU Members

The International Association of Machinists has announced its 2006 photography contest–and for the first time, this contest is open not only to IAM members but also to members in good standing from all TCU lodges and districts.

One of many advantages of TCU’s affiliation with the Machinists is our ability to be involved in the IAM’s membership programs and activities. It would be a great demonstration of putting our spirit of solidarity into action if at least one of the winning entries came from a TCU member!

Briefly, here are some of the facts about the contest:

  • Photo entries should catch members at work in non-posed photos.
  • Winning entries will win a cash prize and will appear in the 2007 IAM Calendar.
  • Photos may be in film or digital format. However, digital photos must be shot with at least
  • three megapixels and must be set at the “fine” setting.
  • There is no fee for participating in the contest.
  • The deadline for entries is June 30, 2006. Winners will be announced in September 2006

Memberscan download the complete contest entry package by going to the IAM web site; http://www.goiam.org/publications/pc2007/ or by requesting one by mail at IAM Photography Contest, Communications Department, 9000 Machinists Place, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772-2687.

Any members who are interested in participating in this contest are encouraged to enter their best on-the-job photos as soon as possible.
