The Southern Territory posted three more organizing wins in Texas, beginning with 11 custodial workers from Diversified Contracting Services at Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, TX. The workers will join District W-2, led by Directing Business Representative Kelvin Godwin.
District 776 organized two separate groups in Del Rio, TX – six workers who maintain Border Control aircraft at Triad at Laughlin Air Force Base and seven workers for PAE who are aircraft mechanics at the Del Rio airport.
“Organizers in the Southern Territory continue to rack up wins large and small throughout the South,” said Southern Territory General Vice President Mark Blondin. “Workers in the South are waking up to the importance of the better wages, benefits and working conditions a strong IAM contract brings.”
