IAM Western Territory Grand Lodge Convention Host Committee’s Fundraising Will Benefit Next Convention

The 40th IAM Grand Lodge Convention held this past year in Las Vegas brought together a diverse group of more than 1,000 delegates from local lodges across North America. The IAM Western Territory Grand Lodge Convention Host Committee was tasked with making delegates feel welcome during the convention.

Another essential duty taken on by the Host Committee was conducting numerous fundraising activities throughout IAM Territories across North America.

“The IAM Western Territory Host Committee did an outstanding job raising funds for the 40th Grand Lodge Convention,” said IAM International President Robert Martinez Jr. “They made everyone feel welcome, and their dedication to fundraising helped jumpstart the Eastern Territory’s efforts in putting on the next Grand Lodge Convention.”

This historic fundraising effort was captured during the recent IAM Legislative Conference when IAM Western Territory General Vice President Gary R. Allen and Western Territory Chief of Staff Bobby Martinez presented IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President David Sullivan, IAM Eastern Territory Chief of Staff Chuck Herod, and Grand Lodge Representative Andrew Hounshell with a check for $408,111.86.

“It was a pleasure to host the 40th IAM Grand Lodge Convention and an honor to help the Eastern Territory host the 41st Grand Lodge Convention,” said Allen. “I commend our Western Grand Lodge Host Committee for their dedication and robust fundraising. I am happy to pass the baton on to GVP Sullivan and the newly appointed IAM Grand Lodge Convention Host Committee.”

The Eastern Territory has already started its fundraising efforts with the launch of the 2024 IAM Grand Lodge Convention store and continues to travel to various IAM conferences and state council meetings.

“The Beasts of the East are ready to bring the 41st Grand Lodge Convention to life,” said Sullivan. “Our staff has been working for months to implement a fundraising plan that takes advantage of our short time window between Conventions. Our team is on the ground and remains thankful for the Western Territory’s assistance in the fundraising.”
