The Machinists Union won several top honors in the annual International Labor Communications Association (ILCA) Labor Media Awards contest, which honors the best in labor journalism.
1st Place: Long Promos/Public Relations, “Stronger,” an inspiring organizing video shown at the 2013 IAM Transportation Conference.

1st Place: Internet Best Content, “IAM Mobile 3.0 App”
2nd Place: Electronic Media/Labor History, “Star of America”
2nd Place: Long Videos, “The American Dream”
2nd Place: General Excellence – Electronic Newsletter, “iMail”
IAM District 751’s blog “Machinists News” was also honored with second place for general excellence.
The ILCA supports labor communicators in North America and is an allied organization of the AFL-CIO. The annual ILCA Journalism/Media contest is open to ILCA member publications from dozens of local and international unions.
