Cori Horowitz Appointed IAM Eastern Territory Special Representative

IAM International President Brian Bryant has appointed Cori Horowitz as an Eastern Territory Special Representative. The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2024.

Horowitz initiated into the IAM Local 2339-N in 2008 as a Flight Attendant with ExpressJet Airlines. Throughout her 10 years with ExpressJet, Cori held various leadership positions within her local, including Conductor Sentinel, Recording Secretary, Vice President, and President. Her commitment was evident as she also served as the Grievance Chair and played a crucial role as a member of the negotiations committee.

“Cori is a dedicated advocate for our members, from her early days as a Flight Attendant to her various leadership roles, which reflects her unwavering commitment to the principles and values of our union,” said Bryant. “I have complete confidence in Cori’s ability to lead and represent our members in the Eastern Territory with integrity and dedication.”

In 2018, Horowitz embarked on a new chapter in her IAM journey by joining the IAM Benefit Funds Office as an Education Representative. This role allowed her to maintain a strong connection with the IAM while assisting members with their negotiated benefit questions. Her assigned territories included the Air Transport and Eastern Territories.

Horowitz transitioned to the IAM General Secretary-Treasurer’s office in 2023, where she took on the role of Staff Secretary. Her contributions were instrumental in supporting the General Secretary-Treasurer’s functions and maintaining our organization’s high standards.

“I am pleased to bring Cori on board to the position of IAM Special Representative for the Eastern Territory,” said IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President David Sullivan. “Cori’s experience, dedication, and deep understanding of the benefit issues facing our members make her a valuable addition to our territory. Our members will have someone who will advocate on their behalf to ensure their well-being. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make in her new role.”
