The Secretary-Treasurer is one of the most important officers of any local lodge. TCU/IAM leadership knows the importance of this and recently held a specialized training course at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center.
The 30 participants of the course were designed to clarify the duties of financial officers, which is the only authority for issuing IAM checks and properly executed vouchers. The class heard from IAM Grand Lodge Auditors and other TCU/IAM officials to answer questions pertaining to the office they hold. TCU/IAM financial officers learned the responsibility of collecting dues, fees, and other income from the lodge.
