IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger and the IAM were honored for their work as pioneer sponsors of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance at its annual sporting clays event at Nilo Farms in Brighton, IL.

Machinists and other union members were among the 68 shooters who participated in the event, including Washington Redskins defensive legend Dave Butz.

Following the shoot, awards were presented for the competition. IAM District 9 along with IAM Locals 660 and 41 provided dinner for the more than 100 in attendance.

In a special presentation to thank the IAM Buffenbarger for their efforts in founding and continuing support of the Sportsmen’s Alliance, deputy director Mike D’Oliveira handed Buffenbarger serial No. 1 of a limited edition Buck custom knife signed by C.J. Buck.

“I want to thank all of the members who continue their support of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance,” said Buffenbarger. “USA plays an important role in linking union families with others who share a love and appreciation of what North America’s outdoors has to offer.”
