JUDGE TO MAKE DECISION IN AMTRAK STRIKE

November 17, 2003
The unions threatening to strike AMTRAK together with AMTRAK officials gave additional testimony in a court hearing before U. S. District Judge James Robertson on Friday, Nov. 14. Judge Robertson advised the parties that he would take the matter under consideration and render his decision shortly. The judge is considering whether or not a walkout by the employees would violate the law and entitle AMTRAK to an injunction against the strike. The involved unions have promised not to strike while the judge considers the matter.
