Are you a proud IAM member who wants to learn how to increase the role of women in your union? The IAM has the training for you.
The Women’s Basic Program will be held May 31-June 6, 2015 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD. The deadline to submit your registration is Wednesday, May 6.
Classroom instruction will combine with networking and the sharing of experiences to help IAM sisters develop skills to mentor and motivate their fellow sisters. The program is structured to provide practical information and guidance on how local and district lodges can establish viable women’s committees and ensure they operate proactively.
“The IAM is pleased to continue offering this tremendous program for our members,” said IAM General Vice President Diane Babineaux. “We’re proud of our continuing commitment to raising the profile of our IAM sisters and sounding the alarm of injustice and inequality wherever it may be.”
