Last Week to Vote in United Passenger Service Election

There is less than a week to vote in one of the largest airline elections in history for more than 17,000 Passenger Service and Reservations employees at the new United Airlines. The voting deadline is 2 PM Eastern Standard Time on March 7, 2012. The election is being conducted by the National Mediation Board, the federal agency that supervises elections for transportation workers covered by the Railway Labor Act.

“This has been an extraordinary campaign and everyone in the Passenger Service and Reservations group and volunteers from all sectors of our union deserve thanks for their patience, professionalism and support,” said IAM Transportation General Vice President Sito Pantoja. “Let’s make use of these last few days to encourage anyone who hasn’t already done so to vote for the IAM and secure their future at the new United.”
