“We have crews working all over the island,” said TCU-IAM Local 90 President Charles Quinn. “The majority of our customers are emergency services, FDNY, NYPD end even some of our local hospitals here on Long Island use our mass transit to get to work.”
Although most residents of New York City and vicinity are sheltering in place, many essential workers must still use public transit. Quinn and his fellow cleaners are working around the clock to prevent transmission of COVID-19 on their train routes.
