Union members and community activists protested outside Rep. Steny Hoyer’s Waldorf, MD office, asking the Congressman to take a stand and vote no on Fast-Track or Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). The process would allow the President to secretly negotiate trade deals and send those deals to Congress for a yes or no vote without any amendments. Protestors want workers to have a say in trade agreements, so jobs can be saved, not shipped overseas.
