Wednesday labor leaders, workers and politicians held a press conference at the Maryland State House to urge the State Senate, which is currently in session, to pass legislation that will expand workers’ rights by making it easier to organize public workers like librarians. If passed, House Bill 65 will grant those unorganized public library workers a right to form a union.
