The Hands Off Social Security and Medicare Rally took place on Capitol Hill to let politicians know that protecting these essential programs means avoiding benefit cuts, privatization and vouchers. Ten organizations sponsored the rally, including the Alliance for Retired Americans, Americans United for Change and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. Union members were out in full force.
