Machinists members in Maryland raised more than $5,000 for Guide Dogs of America in their first Hawgs for Dogs Bike & Poker Run. Motorcycles rode south from IAMAW Headquarters in Upper Marlboro to Point Lookout and then Hollywood, Maryland for a cookout, raffles and entertainment. The event was such a success, organizers hope to plan a similar event next year. Guide Dogs of America provides guide dogs and instruction in their use, free of charge, to blind and visually impaired men and women from the United States and Canada.
