The IAM sponsored three scholarships for college students in honor of International President Tom Buffenbarger and General Secretary-Treasurer Robert Roach, Jr. at the National Meeting of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) in Boston. GST Roach also served on a panel at a Transportation Symposium during the COMTO Leadership Institute Day at Harvard University. COMTO’s mission is to ensure a level playing field and maximum participation in the transportation industry for minorities, minority-owned businesses and communities of color, through training, education and professional development.
