Hundreds of protesters rallied outside the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit during the Netroots Nation Conference and marched to Hart Plaza to shine a spotlight on the city shutting off residential water services. This was just one of many events that union and non-union members attended to support and learn about the progressive movement. Speakers included Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rev. William Barber.
