Houston, TX Mayor Annise Parker has named IAM Local 2339H member Christine Diaz to the city’s Ethics Committee, effective September 1, 2010. Diaz will hold the position in addition to her responsibilities as Local 2339H Vice President and Legislative Committee Chairperson, Harris County AFL-CIO Executive Board Member and Texas AFL-CIO Vice President.
Diaz, who is employed as a Flight Attendant at Continental Airlines, is also a co-host of Pacifica Radio, KPFT 90.1 FM’s Voices at Work. Her community work includes Child Advocates (as a Court-Appointed Volunteer) and Jesuit Volunteer Corps South.
