Lockheed Martin Flight Service Specialists Ratify New Contract

The IAM Automated Flight Service Station Negotiating Committee negotiated, and membership overwhelmingly ratified, a new four-year agreement with Lockheed Martin that includes wage increases and other workplace gains.

More than 400 IAM Flight Service Specialists have overwhelmingly ratified a new contract with Lockheed Martin at five locations across the country.

Members at Automated Flight Service Stations in Fort Worth, TX, Prescott, AZ, Raleigh, NC, Miami and Ashburn, VA agreed to a new four-year deal that includes an 11 percent wage increase over the contract term and an upfront $1,500 bonus.

The contract maintains employee healthcare insurance protections and continues the company’s contribution to the existing retirement savings plan. The agreement also includes workplace policy gains on vacations, holidays and work scheduling.

“These are highly skilled members who play a vital part in keeping our skies safe,” said IAM International President Bob Martinez. “They deserve a good contract and I am proud of their negotiating team for bringing it home.”

Around the clock, IAM Flight Service Specialists supply important pre-flight operational services, in-flight communications, meteorological updates and aeronautical briefings to thousands of general aviation pilots. Specialists also provide valuable support during search and rescue situations, air shows and other aviation events.
