Members of Local 2418 in Newcastle, New Brunswick, have ratified a new collective agreement with Lounsbury Chevrolet. The three-year agreement provides wage increases of two per cent in the first year retroactive to September 1, 2009 and two six-month increases of one per cent in each of the remaining two years.
Among the contract’s highlights are: an additional $100 annual boot allowance; creation of new positions in Parts Department and Outside Sales; creation of a sick bank and credit for banked days paid out at the end of each year.
The 20 members of Local 2418 at Lounsbury include automotive mechanics, technicians, service advisors, drivers, lot attendants and stores clerks.
