Machinists Organize Canada Retirement Workers

Employees at the Villa Orléans Retirement Home in Ottawa, ON, have become the newest members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
The 60 workers at the retirement home consist of personal support workers, kitchen and housekeeping staff. They will become members of IAM Local 1295 in Toronto. The IAM also represents workers at retirement homes in North Bay, Stratford and Toronto.
