Connecticut Machinists Raise $75K for Guide Dogs

A packed field of 156 golfers turned out for the 15th annual Guide Dogs of America (GDA) golf tournament at Oak Ridge Golf Club in Agawam, MA. More than $75,000 was raised for the charity.

The GDA golf tournament is sponsored each year by IAM Local 743, UTC Aerospace Systems, United Way and the GDA New England Chapter of GDA.

The Local 743 Guide Dog Committee would like to thank everyone who contributed their time and money to this event, including the volunteers, sponsors, golfers and puppy partners.

Guide Dogs of America provides guide dogs and instruction in their use, free of charge, to blind and visually impaired men and women from the U.S. and Canada so that they may continue to pursue their goals with increased mobility and independence.
