Merrill Manufacturing Strike Ends

Dozens of brave members of Local 2362 in Merrill, WI, voted to end a months-long strike against Merrill Manufacturing Corporation. Merrill forced the strike after making outrageous demands at the bargaining table and refusing to consider reasonable proposals from the bargaining committee to help Merrill get through the recession.
“These members stood together against an unfair employer and daily harassment on the picket line that no company in America should be allowed to do to their workers,” said District W3 DBR Jere McFalda. “They showed bravery and resolve that is an inspiration to all union members. They deserve the thanks and appreciation of everyone in the community and the labor movement.”
