The National Mediation Board (NMB), an agency of the ferderal government, has authorized a union representation election for the combined group of Passenger Service and Reservation employees at the newly-merged United Airlines, Continental Airlines and Continental Micronesia, all subsidiaries of United Continental Holdings, Inc.
No dates have been set yet, but are expected to be announced within a week.
Eligible voters can cast votes either through an Internet website or by telephone. The NMB will mail voting instructions along with a unique Personal Identification Number and a Voter Identification Number to each eligible voter. These will be sent to the address employees have on file with their airline.
