The National Mediation Board (NMB) has authorized a union representation election for the combined group of Ramp/Fleet workers at the newly-merged United Airlines, Continental Airlines and Continental Micronesia, all subsidiaries of United Continental Holdings, Inc.
No dates have been set, but are expected to be announced within a week.
Eligible voters can cast votes either through an Internet website or by telephone. The NMB will mail voting instructions and a unique Personal Identification Number and Voter Identification Number to the address eligible voters have on file with their airline.
