Acting on the election protest filed by the IAM, the National Mediation Board (NMB) announced that it will conduct an on-site investigation into the election conduct of the CWA-AFA and United Airlines in the United/Continental/Continental Micronesia Flight Attendant union representation election.
If the CWA-AFA and/or United is found to have interfered with the election, the NMB can order the election to be rerun, giving Flight Attendants another opportunity to vote for IAM representation without the fear and intimidation the CWA-AFA and United inflicted upon Flight Attendants in the first election.
