In just one week, on November 3, union members in the Garden State will have an opportunity to cast ballots for candidates and issues that will affect them for years to come. In an effort to educate members about the issues and how workers will be impacted, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO is holding a series of Election Day rallies on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
IAM General Secretary Treasurer Warren Mart will be among more than a dozen state, local and international union leaders who will tour the state and speak at four rallies to urge union members to get out the vote. The times and locations of the GOTV events are as follows:
